Launch Party Highlights

Wednesday, April 09, 2014
Last Wednesday, a beautiful Spring evening, we had a little party to celebrate all things new as we reopened the doors of Paper Scissors Stone & Made in Britain for 2014.

We are so happy to be back and we hope you love our new look shops as much as we do.  They are both buzzing with creativity and jammed full with wonderful pieces hand picked for you.

We think Paper Scissors Stone looks so delicious and this year we have embraced a new colour scheme our team have named 'perky rhubarb.' Our new hexagonal design is inspired by honeycomb from a hive of busy buzzing bees as we aim our shops to be a hive chocked full of yummy arts and craft.
Inside you will find our famous gallery wall, full of work by local print makers and artists.

Shelves, tables, walls are all filled to the brim with the best of local talent. From jewellers, print makers, designers to ceramists - all can be found in our pop-up store celebrating the best of Bristol.
Across the square, sits Paper Scissors Stone's sister shop - Made in Britain - championing British contemporary craft from all corners of the UK.

We like to think that Made in Britain is Paper Scissors Stones older sister.  A little more understated than it's younger teenage rebel.  Here you will find a beautiful collection of items, from ceramics to watercolour prints, jewellery to stained glass.

Even though Made in Britain aims to be sophisticated some of the smallest members of our team had fun with our new window vinyl's too (Ursula is our very first Drawn in Bristol baby and Evie is Kay's, our new shop manager, daughter & both are definitely part of the extended Made in Bristol family.)
Both shops are now open for business everyday and you can find us in Quakers Friars, either side of Carluccio's.  So buzz on down to Cabot Circus to find the very best of both Bristolian & British craft in our hives of creativity.

You can also see more pictures of our new shops here.
